Roy Butler, 1941. He worked on construction and still live on Waiheke. He is now helping with restoration.
Roy Butler, on the right, who helped build Stony Batter, still lives on Waiheke Island, and is still involved with the former fort.

He belongs to the Stony Batter Protection and Restoration Society Incorporated, and he is active in the ongoing restoration work.

Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt is the motto of the Royal New Zealand Artillery.
